Black Alt Undefined – Reception + Talk

Black Alt Undefined is HERE on Saturday, 11/22 at 2-5pm! Come see the images of the incredible people that I got to work with and hear about the process that went into this passion project as part of my regional residency with @visualstudiesworkshop.
“Black Alt Undefined” is a photography project that pairs quotes and images of Black folks defining for themselves what Black Alt means to them.
The goal of this project is to not place anyone in a box or paint the group with a broad brush by trying to define the term—it’s to show other Black folx who may or may not understand that they don’t have to be confined to an arbitrary idea of who Black folks should be.
You’ll have a chance to observe the project + hear more about the process in a lecture during the event.
